This is a topic that has had me stumped for some time. Its not one of those situations that comes up all the time, but I know it COULD come up at any given moment and I'm not sure how I would handle it, thus, I turn to you guys.

Ok, imagine you've been invited to a big swanky party, for the sake of this topic being allowed to remain in this forum, lets say its a gaming gala event! Perhaps a cross between E3 and er.... some big party effort.
Now, you are very lucky to have been invited to this party, and therefore you are very keen to make a big, lasting impression.
On your invitation it states quite clearly that you are allowed to bring ONE guest.
The dilema presents itself!

On the one hand, you could take your spleen. Its very useful and reliable and, most importantly, has served you well thus far. However, is your spleen likely to leave the lasting impression you might've hoped for? Its quite possible that your spleen could indeed bring the huose down, thus securing your invite to all further functions in the er.... gaming community. The likelyhood though, is that your spleen present the bare minimum of interest for you to make it through the night.

On the otherhand, you could make an early request for some Warlock roadkill. The main thing about Warlock roadkill is the ever interesting random element. Its both a blessing and a curse.
The nature of the delivery service regarding Warlock roadkill, is such that you will not have time to switch it for your spleen if things don't go your way. So you could end up going to the party with anything from a knife fighting monkey to a welsh yak. Risky, but if things go your way, you could go further than a top quality spleen could ever take you.

So I ask you, as valued members of these forums;
is it really worth the risk?

(Pants topic? Well, thats for Goaty to decide)
