So the Gamecube was launched in North America yesterday. Those that bought it at a reasonable hour (rather than midnight) have had it for a good 30 hours.

So you'd expect loads of news on it then, yes?

All of those little sites I peruse, run by fans that love Nintendo games have been dead.

Very few updates at all after reports on queues and the like the day before.

It appears that these people are having far too much fun playing on their Gamecube to update their websites, and I don't blame them at all, I wouldn't!

With games like Luigis Mansion, Rogue Leader and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 to keep them happy I wonder how long it will be before any of these sites DO get an update!

Right,
I think the sales between GC and PS2 will be close in Amercia this christmas. The X-Box will get nowhere so we can put that aside.
Advantages.
NGC: Nintendo is a company that has devoted itself to games consoles so they know what they are doing
the NGC is quite cheap.
The controller and design of the console is atractive and usefull.
A lot of good games will be published near christmas.
PS2: They have just dropped the price by about £100 to compete with the NGC.
They have a reputation because of the PS1.
A lot of good games are comming out for the PS2.
Now on to the dissadvantages.
NGC: Relitavly 'childish' look to some.
Not a very outstanding set of launch titles.
PS2: Long loading times.
Only 2 players unless you get a multitap.
GTA3!!!!!
Tell me what you think

As soon as they figure out how to open the box, they'll post their thoughts on it.
I do actually have the 1st offical review of the gamecube:

30 hours! Lucky people.

Why do we always have to be the last to ever receive new things to do with gaming. It's really getting too disturbing!

Anyway, I haven't heard of any news on the telly or sites like when PS2 and GBA came out, so what's happening? Could it be that GameCube has not lived up to its hype. Naaaah, no chance!

GameCube rules, and that's coming from a Playstation fan!

:)

Why the hell would anyone want to get an X-Box?
They are over expensive, they don't not have any good games now or that are comming to it in the future, and the controller is awfull!
I read a review of the GameCube and this is what it got:-

Controller 10/10
Design 9/10
Games 6/10
Overall 9/10

I found a review of the X-Box and it said it was: BULKY, Expensive, UGLY and the controller is so bad the main buttons are less than 5mm away from each other!
