Some of you might have seen this already, but when i was browsing recently i cam across something that caught my eye. An Alien vs. Predator poll! In which people vote for which species they think would win in a head to head. To my annoyance my pc crashed at around the same time so i have completely lost the url and everything!!! I didn't even get time to vote!
So if any of you know what i am talking about send us the url. In advance, thx.
Anyway, during the last few days, and after watching Predator 2 on the TV and remembering what i saw recently on ITV when they were showing the Alien series i began thinking. WHO WOULD WIN? Post you ideas here!
So i thought i would create an arguement for each side.
Why the Aliens would win - First and for most, you might have noticed i said Aliens. There are loads of them, sheer numbers always has its advantages. As the film Aliens showed with them wiping out most of that special forces unit. Then there's the fact they have concentrated acid for blood, a close range attack is leathal (Aliens, again! [shotgun to head]) and in Alien Reserection when they uses their own blood to escape from their holding area! They are also intelligent, reslising there blood does corrode through materials (as they did work out how to escape!)
Then theres their physique! Everyone knows the Aliens are fast and can walk on walls (from the game i might add) and hide undectected! Everyone knows they have a mouth within a mouth that can be pertruded like a tongue. And, from watching the films you know they have a tough skin that can with stand some gun fire! Also when watching reserection you can see they are not effected my the blast of liquid nirtogen designed to kill them in their cages!!!!
Why the Predator would win - Firstly and probably most importantly it can clock itself. Almost completely hiding itself from its enermies. Then theres it tactics, it stalks, it preys it waits - until the time is right! Secondly its weaponary. As everyone knows it has a wide variety of weapons, including laser sighted guns, spears, nets and hooks. And also it has a self destruct mechanism with it, completely destroying it and the surounding area, destroying all opponents and a few more!!!!
As you might have guessed, i think the Alien species would win. The predator in my mind a a coward, who doesn't dare show itself until it has a sure victory. There is also the fact, the Predator is a loner, hunting by itself. As mentioned earier, there are loads of Aliens! And, if it came down to it, the Predator would eventually run out of ammo, this can't happen to an Alien as it doesn't carry any in the first place!!!!
Although, the Predator can heal itself, uses a diverse series of weapons and can clock it would still lose to the better species.................the Alien! The Alien also look s good to!!! (It still remains, the best alien i have ever seen, miles better than the ones inindependence day for example) Although the aliens in Mars attacks own!!!!!! [don't run, we are your friends!] - they have a sense of humour!!! - Take that Xemomorph!!!
