Just thought you all might want to know, as it's clearly the best Coen Brothers' film, except I haven't seen the new one and that's meant to be very good..
Any chance of SR getting some copies of this cinematic classic in?
I wonder did they do any Laser Disk commentaries when they were run and naieve...
Armageddon
Seven
Enter The Dragon
DAMN THEM!!! DAMN THEM ALL TO HE--elll.....
Complete with:
Cast and crew interviews with George Clooney, Tim Blake Nelson, John Turturro, Holly Hunter, Michael Badalucco, Chris Thomas King and the Coen Brothers. Soggy Bottom Boys 'I Am A Man Of Constant Sorrow' music video. Painting With Pixels. Production featurette. Storyboard to scene comparison (multi-angle feature). The making of 'Down From The Mountain' live concert. Original trailer. TV spots.
Damn their infernal marketing machine that churns out value-added incentives so close to Christmas.. I rushed out to buy "O Brother.." as soon as it hit the shelves in its lonesome single DVD format.
I am sorely sorely tempted to buy this and if it has a directors commentary I will. The coen brother's commentary would be most intersting.
"Oh just papers, papers, business papers"
"Uh-hu, and what kind of work do you do?"
"I'm unemployed."
-----
"And I don't like you.....do I make myself clear?"
"I'm sorry I wasn't listning"
*throws mug at head*
Goddamm that film is funny.
Shame really.
I thought Oh Brother Where Art Thou? was one of their best.
Nice and approachable for non-Coen fans, yet full of their usual wit and beautiful shooting styles.
The Man Who Wasn't There is yet another faultless Coen movie. It could be considered slow and meandering, but I sat there in pure happiness, because I can watch anything they do and just revel in guys at the top of their game.
My fav movies in order
The Big Lebowksi
Oh Brother Where Art Thou?
Raising Arizona
The Hudsucker Proxy
Fargo
The Man Who Wasn't There
Miller's Crossing
Blood Simple
Barton Fink
I don't know if this is the correct version but if it is then all it has is biographies. :-(
Barton Fink was another of their films as well wasn't it. But I never saw that.
I was really disappointed with Oh Brother and I am waiting for The Man Who Wasn't there to be released.
Blood Simple was good too mind although slightly too dark and depressing.
And I love Millers Crossing as well. Basically, I like all their films.
Fargo got any extras?
