"Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. Mixed feelings."

I got my copy of Metal Gear 2:SOL exspecting a major gameing experience but I was really shocked when I found out that you only get to play as Solid Snake at the start then you play as some girl looking guy named Jack, Jack the Ripper, the White Devil and code name Raiden. Then as I continued to play well what little I did, I mean I love to sit and watch some awsome CGs, which this game did have but there was one everytime you moved. I carried on and there was Snake and I though all right it's going to get fun now but I had to wait for four hours before I even got to run around with him. The villians are awsome though,Vamp was my favorite but I loved at the end how Fortune saved everyone from Revolver Ocelot (Liquid Snake). Another complaint that I have is that I though this one was just as short as Metal Gear Solid, maybe a little longer but first time through I beat it on hard in just over nine hours. Whats up with that it's suppose to be a 15 hour game. Even though it has these problems I would still recommend this game to anyone.

So, I have one interest. If you have played the old Metal Gear Solid then you would know that Metal Gear Rex was the first Metal Gear which was destroyed by Snake. The new Metal Gear is named Ray and it is alot meaner than Rex and it is capable of swimming which adds a new twist to the story. I'm not for sure when it is coming out where you live but it shouldn't be to long.

Oh right, can you still win Gameaday and Filmaday prizes? When does MGS2 come out here then? Isn't it 27th of December or something. So, you completed the game in 4 hours without any CGI sequences? That is an accomplishment my friend. The game can't be too difficult then - like the first one! What or who is Metal Gear Ray by the way? Cheers. I left a message, so could I hear about that thing that makes the game awesome? Cheers.

Well firbalt I live in the good old U.S.A. and it's been out for three days here. There are a few new characters such as the guy you mostly play with Raiden. I beat Metal Gear solid in three hour and the nine hours was my first time through so I watched all of the movies and junk. With passing the movies I beat in 4 hours. It is a good game though and it has an awsome story but it just has so much dialoge that sometimes you just get tired of it You'll see what I mean when you get it. If you have played the demo then that is about all you get to play of Snake but you do use him to go take some awsome shots of the new Metal Gear Ray.

So, Solid_Rowelett, you've got your hands on MGS2 eh? I didn't think it was out yet. So, you've either got an import copy (need a chipped PS2), a promotional copy, or you have a mate that works in a shop, who can sneak you a free game or two, if you catch my drift.

You're telling me that you only get to play as Snake for a short time!? No! This game seems to have a bagfull of new characters, along with a new setting etc. As for the longevity reference, 9 hours is longer than 4 hours, which is my record for MGS.

Treasure the game - it's a classic and have fun!
