Gongs for Metroid Prime

Nintendo's well-regarded Metroid Prime has scooped a couple of gaming awards.
The first person sci-fi action title took home the gong for Best Adventure Game in ITV1's inaugural Game Stars awards, which were voted on by the public.

The GameCube game was also named as Game of the Year by Edge magazine, ahead of Neverwinter Nights and Super Mario Sunshine.

And to cap it all, Nintendo was also selected as Publisher of the Year by Edge, beating the games giant Electronic Arts into second place.

Weren't some of them voted for?

That's hardly fair considering the mass of Sony fans in comparison to Nintendo ones.

They probably just looked at the sales charts and read a few reviews to make their decision. A lot of these awards are just one persons opinion so it doesn't mean that Vice City is the best game at all. I would have given the award to the beautiful Japanese game that is Winning Eleven 6 Final Evolution because at the moment it is the best game on any console.

*Checks post to see if Metroid Prime has arrived*

Metroid Prime should arrive tomorrow so I will be blasting away all day :) Nintendo beat EA with a giant stick and then run over them as they make a quick escape. EA pubish the most boring sports games out of any other developer. Anyway, as soon as Metroid arrives I will report myself missing so no one bothers checking my room (if that makes sense).
