I have been into video games since I was a mere five years old. The first experience with games I had was with the Amstrad CPC 464. Remember games such as Roland on the Ropes and The Galactic Plague. Classics, but what got me addicted was the legendary Harrier Attack. The fact that you had to fly over land shooting down war planes bombing tanks, etc were excellent memories. Ill never forget the end of level bit though flying over German houses and bombing them. Classic. Moving on, games like R-Type and Double Dragon for the Sega Master System were probably my first arcade quality games I played in the comfort of my own home. That was of course until Street Fighter 2 Came out for the SNES. This was groundbreaking for its time purely because it was arcade perfect. The original FIFA Soccer for the Megadrive was another groundbreaking title. The isometric view, the superb graphics, sound and of course gameplay. Just a shame that EA Sports lost there way with endless useless sequals. All these games were great, but what classics stand out for me the most are Another World (A.K.A Out of this World), and Flashback on the Amiga 500. These are quite possibly my favourite games of all time. The first real movie like experience you got from playing them. The seamless cut scenes and graphics, and story lines and puzzles that would keep you up until all hours of the night were just some of the great memories I have with these classic games. These are the sort of games that should never be forgotten, as we move to new and exciting times in the world of video gaming.
