Smack down 3 is already out of date as it doesn't even have the aliance in it! It may have some new characters like Tigeri, william regal, Rhino and Spike Dudly.
Its a good game but it's out of date because the WWF is owned by Yukes, ECW owned by Acclaim (i think) and WCW Owned by something else and they won't hand over the deeds orcontract whatever you call it as they are making a lot of money from the games so it could take a while to get this sorted out.

If they do it on purpose, then their isn't much we can do about it..
... the only way I can see it being that up-to-dat is if the WWF Gave THQ their Story Lines for the next few months, but I don't see that happening, plus you never know who's gonna get injured etc ... so it's just not possible to be as Up-To-Date as we'd like.

Wrestling games will always be outdated - it's deliberate! They can make more cash that way, so it does make sense for them to do that. The next game will probably have the Alliance in and by then, the Alliance will have split up. There's never been a Wrestling game that is spot on. I have to give THQ their props though, the new Smackdown set is on there and that is quite an acheivement. People in my class keep asking me, "Oh, why aren't the alliance in it!?". They msut be utter dumbos, because don't they realise that programming in characters, sets and everything takes months. Wrestling games will always be months (weeks at the least) behind real life.
