I once read in an interview that the secret to making a bod film was to move everything at such a pace that you miss all the little idiosyncracies. Well done to them I say.
Except for the way all the bad guys can unload hundreds off bullets in James Bonds direction but none of them will hit, yet he can take them all out with his walther ppk, but this has been "observed in the Austin powers films [I will place you in an elaborate but easily escapeable trap].
I was talking on the phone to home the other week and they told me goldeneye was on the television (they have goldeneye on video, so I don't know why they didn't watch that instead as it has no adverts in it), They told me what bit was showing and it got me thinking about all the little plot holes in this movie.

1. It should be possible to do that bungee jump at the beginning, but wouldn't he have swung into the wall of the dam?

2. When 006 was shot in the head at the beginning would James not hae noticed that 006's contents of his head would have been on the floor from that point blank range, Or at least Ouromov (I don't have the correct spelling in front of me) would have had blood over him, but I didn't notice any.

3. What exactly was in the canisters at the beginning of the film, some sort of gas I assume that was highly combustable.

4.Bond free falling into the plane: Its possible but wouldn't it be difficult to aim yourself at those kinds of speeds and not crack your head open when you can't slow down when you are in the plane.

5. How does bond always get the girl? in the scene with the pscological evaluator.

6. Why did bond not have his Id when he was trying to stop xenia from stealing the tiger helicopter- he's commander bond surely they would have listened to him.

skip forward a bit

7. Bond driving a tank: why was he driving with half of his body outside the protective armour of the tank. obviously for better visibility in the chase, but he exposed hiself to gunfire. Oops I nearly forgot you can't hit bond with random machine gun fire.

8. Why was Borris not blown up earlier, he clicked the explosive pen enough times and paused between clickings, 3 clicks armed, 3 clicks dissarmed.

9.How did 006 not die on impact after plummeting off of the antenna [probably setting up the ironic he dies through being crushed by the falling antenna- see bond "baddie" rule it takes alot to kill one].

10. Why did the commandos not get up sooner when james and natalya landed and what where the chances that they could have stood on one?

There are probably more in this and the other bond films (bond using a union jack parachute).

Just showing that I have thought it through, and not one of my no effort posts.

Same here. I reckon Bond just guessed. He was too intimidated by the presence of God (Sean Bean) to count properly. :-D

Because Bond has aids. :o)

Good point about the blood, but bond just seems to assume that 006 was killed even if it was not on screen (because it is a bond film and they don't get graphic).

He was shot from the front, so the blood would have gone behind him. A little goes forward but not alot and he wasn't standing close enough for any blood to actually come in contact with him.

Because Bond has aids. :o)

I did that and I didn't get confused. Also, if you count carefully, Boris is actually on 4 clicks when Bond hits it out of his hand and it explodes. Damn Dirty Counters.

you wouldn't have had to see any blood, in the same way as you don't see the "shot" to the head but I would have thought that bond would have noticed that
[bond being someone who can see a latch on the cage to the gas cans and accurately shoot it off sending the cans cascading down onto the hapless guards below)
