What's the most fun use you've had from a peripheral designed for one type of game, but used on another.
For me, it's got to be the dance mat, and playing Tekken against a mate who's also on a dance mat. Makes for so much more underhand tactics (pushing shoving, pulling the rug out from under his feet (literally).
I gave up trying to play MSR with the fishing rod controller. Controlling throttle by how fast you turn the reel? That was just silly.
Steering wheels are good for 2D platformers...
I'm sure that the Sambe Di Amigo maracas could be used to great effect on all sort of games for comedy japes.
