To the 3 people who helped with my "disc read error" playstation problem - cheers. I got a new playstation 2 this morning but one thing still bugs me
Why does the Getaway and World Champ Snooker 2002 work on my old playstation whilst timespliters 2, pro evo 2 and splinter cell don't.

I think all 5 of those games were released on DVD format (silver discs) so it could be anything, like a minute scratch on the disc invisible to the eye and so on. You can always send the disc back to the game's publisher for a replacement (some charge about £5, others don't) just to be on the safe side.

if it had a cd reading error it wouldnt be able to read any discs because i got my new ps2 the other day about a week and a half ago so i had to get a new one i didnt have a clue what was wrong with my ps2 though
