You're being hacked because you've got about five-million viruses in your PC!

Do the Tom thing and kill them...

Well, that should be enough to stop people getting access to your computer. However, it won't stop your own software connecting to the internet and doing whatever it wants (i.e, it won't stop outbound traffic)

You can always do a search for Zone Alarm which will make your computer very secure, and in effect, you will then have the same setup as I have - I've never had anyone gain access to my PC.

Ok, use google and download:

AVG Anti-Virus
Adaware

Run them both, let them do a full scan and remove anything they find.

Whenever you are logged on, you receive many hits to your PC, some legitmate, some not so. If you are running standard Windows XP, the built-in software firewall is good enough to stop the majority of people getting in.

There is a good security web-site http://www.grc.com, who have a section called "Shields Up". Go to this and have it do the check. It basically tells you how secure your PC is from internet hacks.

There is also a program called Ad-Aware which will check for bots and other spy-ware on your PC.

I have avg and trojan shield installed on mine, I'm also connected through a router which has its own firewall, will this be sufficient to stop gits hacking me?

Get Norton Antivirus 2003 and you can delete all those files and stop them from getting in again. I had 83 virus' the other day and because some of them wouldn't quarentene I just deleted them from my Hard Drive. If you use Live Update it will download all of the latest virus definitions so the computer will protect you from everything.

If you're using a firewall, don't worry about it. As long as you have no spyware etc. installed, and your firewall is working correctly, it won't harm you.

It's just one of those things. Many people try and hack me everyday.
