Simple, as the title says. Oh, and even though the title says that you may find spoilers, still put the

With large spaces between the open spoiler + spoiler beginning, and the end of the spoiler + close spoiler bits.

If you know what I mean.

Please note, this safety procedure is only for the people still stupid enough to come in here and read it.

Ohhhh

I'll put this to good use

After OOT, a statue of Link was built in Hyrule Castle. Some years later, Gannondorf also broke the sages' seal and re-emerged. The people expected the Hero of Time to return and defeat him again, but he never showed up.

With no other choice the people prayed to the Gods for help. In the very last hour before Ganondorf took over, they sent the best people to the mountain tops before flooding the land and washing Hyrule away.

No one alive remembers Hyrule, but the legend of the Hero of Time lives on. On Outset Island it is customary to dress boys in green the day they 'come of age', and they aspire to find a blade and cast down evil.

Link of course, the Hero of Time reborn, starts off from here before his sister is kidnapped. Gannondorf has recruited the giant bird to fetch him every girl in the land with pointy ears (making them Hylian descendents), as he wants to find the last in the bloodline of Princess Zelda.

After completeing the trial of the Gods, Link's magic boat 'The King of Red Lions' takes him through a portal down to the seabed, where Hyrule still remains - sealed away at the bottom of the ocean.

Taking the Master Sword from it's pedestal, Link returns to the Forsaken Fortress to challenge Gannondorf, only to discover that the Master Sword has lost it's power. The pirates come to Link's aid, but Gannondorf grabs the leader, Tetra, and reveals her to be Princess Zelda. The Rito arrive to fly them to safety, and the great dragon Valoo burns Gannondorf's fortress to the ground.

Link then travels to find the descendents of two sages, a Kokiri and a Zora, so they can reawaken the power of the Master Sword. The boat then reveals it's true identity, as the King of Hyrule, and Zelda is taken to Hyrule Castle for safety.

Link recovers the eight shards of the Triforce of Courage, which was split and scattered after the Hero of Time. He is then recognised as the true hero, the Hero of Winds, and the Triforce of Courage then dwells inside of him.

Returning to Hyrule he discovers that Gannondorf had found it and taken Zelda, so he travels to Ganon's Tower. Eventually he arrives in a room with Zelda and Gannondorf; Gannondorf tells Link that the Gods did not save Hyrule, they had destroyed it.

After fighting a puppet Ganon, Link makes his way to the top of the tower to face Gannondorf. With Zelda still unconcious, Gannondorf attacks Link and knocks him out, he then summons the Triforce. After speaking aloud his desire - to raise Hyrule and give it to him - he goes to touch the Triforce to seal his wish, only to find the King of Hyrule's hand already there. The King wishes for hope for Link and Zelda, and hope for the future of the world.

Link and Zelda awaken and challenge Gannondorf. While Link fights Gannondorf (obviously now trained as a Ninja) Zelda attacks him with light arrows. Gannondorf knocks Zelda flying and Link is left with a tough swordfight on his hands.

Zelda comes too and rejoins the fight, however Gannondord is too good for them, and blocks and dodges every blow. Instead, Zelda shoots the light arrows at Link, who deflects them with his mirror sheild into Gannondorf -then in a quick slide and a giant leap Link lands the Master Sword and sinks it deep into Gannondorf's head.

As Hyrule is slowly submerged for good, Zelda begs for the King to return with them, so they can find the land that will be the new Hyrule, however he declines and after many years of regrets, finally gets his peace.

That's the story.

The Kokiri are still alive with the Great Deku Tree on an island, however the have taken on a new form. There are also a few Gorons present in the game.

Thanks for that, hopefully the story will be slightly less confusing and weird when I actually play it.
