Hi everyone!
Can someone confirm that multidisk PS1 games (e.g. metal gear solid), and those that have 'add-on disks' (swapped after the key disk is put in), all work on the PS2 as with the PS1??
I'm just a bit concered that the PS2 tray mechanism will stop them from working - and think I can remember someone saying that it doesn't work (might have been a dream or something)...
Thanks for any help!

Thanks alot. It's good to hear that the swapping works. Some of the best titles - FF, MGS etc. come across several disks and you can pick up quality like that for literally next to nothing now.

I know you can swap some discs because I can play GTA London on my PS2, and to play that you need to put in GTA first and then change discs. But as for any other game, I don't know for sure.

All the FFs come on multiple disks, and they work just fine and dandy.
The only thing I've heard of not working is the MGS VR missions disc. Which is crap anywho.

Don't know about individual games, but you can eject and insert another disc, press X or whatever and the disc should start spinning again (the code is built into the first disc). The PS2 does not reset unless you press the reset/standby button.

I think I heard that Special Missions doesn't work, but I don't know if MGS itself has a problem.
