Well look at it this way, no-one(developer) would have any money to produce further games if they didn't invest in a console. We've seen lots of Nintendo, Sega and Playstation creations and what they've done is given us a wider choice of gaming to attract more and more people. Somehow I don't think that they were all working together to do this, I think that they all wanted to have a good reputation in the industry as well as make hard-earned cash, but look where Sega has ended up!
I don't know why, but when a certain new console is released and is better than the one I currently own it really bothers me. I feel the need to buy that new console just to satisfy my gaming needs. Strange I know so why does this happen to so many of us? Well, I think that it's because we all want the best from gaming and don't want to miss out on anything new and improved. But you look at life and realise that you don't get everything you want in life 'cos that's just the way it is.
There is no way that I would want developers to decrease the number of consoles released at near times or else gaming wouldn't be what it is today - fun, exciting and hugely open to everybody! More consoles means more audiences and more audiences seem to urge developers on that little step further making greater games for us to play!
Availability that's already glowing in the industry is soon going to be boosted even further with Xbox and GameCube coming in. Some don't know which one to get, but some(like me) are certain that GameCube is THE one to get, but no matter what we think there's always going to be that feeling in us that wants both!
PS3?...'Just bring it!'
