Its also in the UK version aswell. All you need is a USB ethernet adpater. Dont know if you can use a normal 56k modem. In a screen shot I saw a modem was an option so I think you should be able to dial up from a 56k modem.

Hey my mate's got a USB ADSL broadband modem I was wondering if he can use it on the ps2 instead of getting a new one?

One more question, is it true that the PS2 HDD will use MagicGate technology if so can you use your memory card to save small files from the internet?

if u go onto the planetps2.com website they have a review of tony hawks 3 which is online compatable (but only for americans), and it explains the two types of connection they used to connect.

Basically it's a network adapter where u can use your cable connection (if you are lucky enough to have 1) to connect to the internet but it also acts as a 56k modem if u don't have cable, i think u can also use DSL connections and others withit too, the 56k modem will be good enough for most games although won't be as fast.

there will be the option of buying either a broadband or 56k modem and there are supposed to be 2 different packeges when you buy the hard drive depending on which you want or i think they will be available seperately

its gonna be a broadband connection
a regular modem wont be fast enough

all i know is that final fantasy XI will be totally online

its gonna b used 4 making toasted cheese sandwiches
