You feel ill, your day has been one to be forgotten and your wife has just asked you for a divorce. So what do you do? Hang yourself from the garage door or get drunk and walk of a bridge. No, you play on your computer of course. In years to come, playing on your computer could be the next generation drug.

Gaming is thrilling, exciting, heart racing and can get you out of those sulky moods. It can produce some of your best points in your life and some of your worse but it really does capture the hearts of this nation. If your feeling down and lonley with nothing to do, what do you do? you play on your computer of course because it can revitalise your system and get your blood pumping. It is adreniline racing and can liven you up and bring you right down to earth.

In the future, playing on your favourite game could be the next great drug which can raise you out of those depressed moods. Doctors could be subscribing you with Gran Turismo 3 instead of penicillin and SSX Tricky instead of a useless antibiotic. It could be subscribed for a number of weeks, according to the game type and how depressed you really are. You could be told to play on it at least 2 hours a day for a certain number of days, weeks or even months if your life has just fallen around you.Consoles could also be rented if you do not have one already and games would be subscribed accordingly. All good chemists could also turn into rental services and you could get the gaming drug from there if you know what is wrong with you. It could save people money and also guarantee your health gets better unlike some drugs that are on the market today.

There are many great turns in medical history that have been and gone but this could be another. Scientists regulary debate if gaming is good for you or not. Some say that it decreases your number of brain cells and others say that it increases your general knowledge. Either way, this will do whatever gaming usually does to you and make you feel livlier and brighter at the same time. Braking the record on a track on Gran Turismo could make you feel happier and make everything else in your day seem great. Racing down the slopes on SSX will get your blood pumping, your heart thumping and would be brightening up your spirit all at the same time.

No one has actualy thought of this surprisingly because it is a good idea that could be in intrest to the National Health System(and Tony Blair). If you already have a games console with the best games on it then you would not need this service and could treat yourself, but those without any great games to play on could benefit from this idea. A revolution in medical history could be on its way and it could change the way we think about medicine.
