I'm getting rather worried about Japanese games, On the PS1 character's spoke while noding their "lifeless" heads but on the PS2 it's far more active, Their lips move as they speak and it looks a bit funny if the English doesn't match the person, Onimusha was like watching a dubbed film.
I haven't seen any videos of Metal Gear Solid 2 that weren't in Japanese but I think the U.S version would have been made to match the English, Final Fantasy X is another where the speech doesn't match the lips, Lucky fo us we get the same version as the U.S and developers usually go out of their way for the American audience :-)
Though the WWTBAM game is using this new system and apparently, it's a bit tasty
