1. RIMM RDRAM (PC800):
256MB PC800 RIMM RDRAM
(These are apparently much faster than other types)
OR
2. DDR SDRAM DIMMs (PC333):
512MB DDR DIMM SDRAM
(Cheaper + alot more memory but not as fast)
I have a Pentium 4 so these are the only compatible ones.
What I would like to know is which one will increase my PCs performance more. Is it better to get more RAM but with a bit less speed (Hz) or less RAM but more speed? Oh and do I add the amount I'm buying onto my existing RAM or do they just get swapped round?
Please help as I don't really know alot about PCs and in the past I've got pretty good answers from asking here. Thanks anyone who replies!
I recommend SiSoft Sandra

It'll tell you everything you need to know.
Both speed and amount of ram will make your system performace rise.
