Okay, my Sony system has a "digital in" socket on it which was originally meant to have a Minidisc system connected to it.

My Xbox has the Advanced Scart lead, which has the box with "digital out" on it.

Bought a digital audo cable, connected the two....and no sound.

Any ideas anyone ? Guys at Game Nottingham didn't understand one bit when I asked them, but I can take the cable back if it doesn't work. Even so, I'm sure it should work but I'm doing something wrong.

Problem sorted...

*Note to self* Check Optical IN on stereo does actually say IN, and not OUT, it saves returning leads to GAME.

Ahem...
