My new game idea isn’t actually entirely new but it is in a way.
Picture this if you will you are actually sat in your comfy chair at home with your eyes fixed on the television screen some good four feet in-front of you. Your mind lost in a magical world where trolls and goblins live amongst the wizards. You are a young boy just recently learned of your magical capabilities. You are in your first year at your Wizard school ‘Hogwarts’. Your two best friends and yourself are walking down a steep staircase invisible to the naked eye. Ghosts and ghouls soar through the air passing straight through you and your friends. Suddenly you come face to face with a huge green troll with a club the size of your body. It can’t see you but it can smell you. It picks the invisibility cloak off and you all scatter. After some chasing the troll finally corners one of your friends. It raises its club ready to swing. You jump and cling onto the club for all you’re worth. The troll swings the club propelling you onto its head. As it tries to swing you off you plug your wand up its nose. Instantly a shot of lightening blasts up his nose and into its brain. The huge troll drops to the ground with a huge thud. The room shakes and you triumphantly retrieve your wand from the nose of the troll. You raise it high in the air in sheer proudness until a huge drop of runny snot drips on your head, your face quickly changes from the triumphant smile to a disgusted scrunched ball.

In case you hadn’t already figured out I am talking about the huge phenomena that is ‘Harry Potter’.

Okay, sure ‘Harry Potter’ games have been made and to be fair they’ve done all right, but they have all been aimed at the younger child as about ten years old for a maximum targeted customer. Just think how great it could be if the turned it into a stealth action game. When you’re not out battling other wizards and creatures you would be out searching the school for new adventures, but careful because there will be teachers on the look out for you. Yes you do have your cloak for invisibility but it has a limited amount of working time. So you’ll have to hide behind doors in empty rooms and do anything to prevent yourself from being caught out of bed at night because that is sure to loose ‘Gryfindor’ valuable points for the final house cup.

When you are having a battle against either another wizard or a magical creature, the whole view changes to battle mode, you wait some time for your magic to get high enough for the certain move that you want to do then you press the correct combination on the d-pad and watch as ‘Harry’ makes mince-meat out of his enemy.

One of the other separate options could be ‘Quiditch’ where you concentrate only on winning your ‘Quiditch’ matches.

There could be so many adventures, one from the book and some made-up ones like a search for the golden phoenix. Or in the book where he and Malfoy find a dead unicorn and ‘Voldemort’ is drinking its blood, Malfoy runs and leaves you and the Centaur to fight Voldemort until his health is so small that he is forced to run.
