The Psone has had its moments and a great history with alot of memorable flashbacks but we all have to face the facts. The Psone is nearly finished. Gone are the days when we would race home after a hard days work, chuck all our stuff in the kitchen, sprint upstairs and enjoy a couple of hours on the Playstation. Today it is all about the Playstation 2 , PCS and even Game Boy Advance has beaten little old PSone in a poularity contest.
The times when we were eager for the next great title to be released on it have benn and gone and the best that can be managed at the moment is the usual dissopointment of FIFA every year. Metal Gear Solid has transferred over to its big brother as well as ISS and Crash Bandicoot. No big name games have been released in the last 6 months(except FIFA and LMA).
The console is slowley fading away and struggling to impress anyone or anything. Accesories are as dull as it has always been and all the controllers are just being given different colours. Where are the ideas of a DUAL SHOCK 2 for the PSone? The memory cards are getting so ridiculously big that no one actually needs that much space. All ideas have been thought up, brought out and passed its test. No sparks have been flying since and the fuse box has hed its last surge of ideas.
The Psone is now being overtaken by the likes of its big brother, the Playstation 2 and the X-BOX and Gamecube which surley thrash the living daylights out of the Psone in the sales department. The Psone is set to be forgotton and left behind with the Dreamcast and Sega Mega Drive and soon games could stop being developed for the system. It really is a sad way to end the illustrious career of a machine which has had its high and low points and even its makeovers. It is a shame that just 7 years ago, it was destined to be the greatest console of all time. It has sold millions all over the world and some people have spent thousands of pounds on it but the truth has got to be told and that is that the end in nigh for the PSone.
