Anyone know how the Sega Saturn saves game progress ? Do you need to buy a kind of memory card, is it all passwords, what ?

There is some memory in the console but it's not that much, there are big memory carts that can save a lot more data.

The Sega Saturn as a battery inside that is needed to save and update the clock, best to replace it.

You need a memory slot to go in the back. I got mine for 20 quid about 6 years or so ago.
