Everyone is getting excited over how cool Broard band modems will be, what you are forgetting is how expensive it is going to be. ASDL which is a form of Broard band technology has only just became available to residents in the united kingdom. 40 pound per month for subscription. I can really see parents paying that every month, on top of buying the modem in the first place. So maybe this is a bad move by Sony, the Americans have had ASDL for 4 years now, and we are just getting it, which means telecommunication companies are going to try and make as much money as possible before it becomes a disaster.
