As of late, WWF programming is becoming rather stale and repetitive.

Personally i'd start with the main event, the WWF needs to go all the way and drop it's established stars, for a while anyway. Rock, Austin and Angle should be taken out of the limelight for around six months to allow other, younger stars to come into the main event.

Te WWF needs a new Stone Cold Steve Austin ad I think RVD is the man for the job. Then i'd let RVD and Chris Jericho feud over the WWF title, and push the likes of Edge, Christian, Jeff Hardy and Test into the upper card.

Then after around six months re-introduce The Rock, Austin and Angle, by then the younger stars will be established main eventers for them to feud with.

The WWF coud also make more use of the Light Heavyweights, nothing would start a show off better than a Light Heavyweight match involving the likes of Matt Hardy, Kaientai, The Hurricane, Chavo Guerrero jr.
Drop the womens belt, and just have the odd match here and there between the ladies.

As for PPV's, try a few gimmick matches, we haven't had many over the past few weeks, it's nearly the end of the year and we still haven't had a Hell in a cell match. Since the WWF ruined TLC matches by having one on Smackdown, they don't have a lot left.

As for WRESTLERS gimmicks, we should have Rock as Heel, HHH and Austin as faces, Undertaker should go back to the dead. This would allow for the Buried Alive gimmick match, which I thought was fantastic back in 1998.
RVD should switch to WWF, so he can have some bloody, mayhem filled feuds with the likes of Tommy Dreamer, Rhyno and Tazz.

Man, I really should join the WWF writing team !

Hell in the cell, we havn't had one for a while, those Gimmick matches ype the event themselves. The WWF has done good with those matches, making them special not wearing them out like with the Cage match (although thats getting better)

Personally, I would say that WWF television is livened up at the moment with the big Survivor Series match but you have mentioned some good ideas. I dont like the idea about getting rid of Rock, Austin and Angle for about 6 months though. HHH is scheduled for a return at about January time and what are you going to do with him?
He would dominate returning to the likes of RVD and Test wouldnt he. Chris Benoit is also scheduled to make a return around that time I think.

Firstly - there is no chance the WWF will move Austin, Rock anywhere further down the card. That would be suicidal - just look at how ratings fell when The Rock left. The same thing would happen.

And also, could you really see Austin feuding with Test?

About the Cruiserweights - they are what made WCW so great back in the early 90s. But Vince will never push any lightheavyweights, and he never will.

Damn those marks, but one chap, who has three initials has become a WWF fan favourite (although if they truly appreciated him, they would of seen a lot of him in ECW).

He's been in several main events already, so it would be a wise choice to keep up there for a while, maybe dropping the hardcore belt would free him up for the big belts. Stick him in a feud with Rhyno, Raven, Jerry Lynn or Chris Jericho (again), then add a special sort of match, like Leather Strap or dumpster, something like that and we have ratings.

They do occasionally leave out the established favourites like Rock. Like earlier this year when he was indefinately suspended (to film "The Mummy Returns").

Christian has had far too much air time recently - making him a singles competitor was a mistake. It suits Edge, and the script writers recognised this by giving him the King of the Ring, and now the i/c belt, but Christian needs to find a new tag-team partner.

Ant and I agreed on the fact that younger stars like Essa Rios and K-kwik (sadly now released) need to be given air time on shows other than Metal and Superstars.

However, your main event idea is a little too radical - the whole idea of having the big match at the end of the show is because all the other matches build up to it.

Matt Hardy isn't in the light heavyweight category. Did you mean Jeff? Besides, they're young stars who get a lot of airtime (23 and 24) and the rock isn't exactly old! (28 i think?)

Ant will know.

I like the idea of pushing the younger stars, but the problem is marks. All they want to see is Rock, basically. They're Rock obsessed. If they took Rock out of it I can see the ratings going down like they did during the Rock's 'suspension.'
