Does anyone know of a light gun that will work with a 100Hz TV?

Just incase anyone wants to know, i found the website URL that i was talking about in my other post. The instructions on the website are a little different to what i said they were. (I said the wrong button!!)

http://www.ps2australia.com/news/2001/november/13a.html

I don't think the person who posted the original post cares anymore, but its for anyone else to use. The website said they've tested it and it works.

I haven't tried it, but, on another message board, someone posted that they couldn't get their gun to work on a 100hz tv. Someone else on there posted a URL, I can't remeber the URL but I can remember the instructions

Go to the callibration Screen
Point you gun away from the screen
Press the button under the handle, and the A or B button at the same time, in the corner of the screen it should say 100Hz callibration (or something)

Like I said, I haven't tried it, so it might be a load of rubbish!!

Some guns have a note 'not suitable for 100Hz TV's so I wondered if anyone has got one to work with a 100Hz TV. I have tried the Sony gun and it doesn't work.

if u got TC2 then when configing for a wide screen press trigger + button underneath to get a two point calibration. shoot the middle 'x' then move accross so your facing the second 'x' and shoot that. i find this works fine and u can shoot all corners of a widescreen. hope this makes sense

I remember hearing that they did have problems with widescreen TV's, but I'm not sure about 100Hz.

Of course, this relates mainly to the GCon1 for PSone - the issues may have been resolved with GCon2 for PS2, as widescreen and 100Hz are becoming more common.

Try calling the Sony Helpline on 08705 998877 - they may know, but remember these aren't techie people, they're just there to man the phones.

Alternatively, try calling your local Sony Centre - mine has always proved very helpful. If you don't have a local Sony Centre, call the Northampton branch on 01604 626064.

Failing that, your local Game/EB may know.
