Riding on the crest of the American Wave, the Afghan Northern Alliance is reportedly closing in on Kabul despite being warned to stay away by Bush. I think we just got dragged into another civil war which has nothing to do with us.

Northern Alliance: Why thank you Mr Bush, we're giving them some now! After X years of fighting we're now getting somewhere.
Bush: Okay, Northern Alliance, nice work. Lose many men? Actually, don't answer that, I don't care. Oh, by the way, would you mind not taking the capital, that way we can set up a US friendly government here, which you shall only be a small part of. Osama Bin Laden would have been able to carry out these attacks regardless of whoever is in power, he could buy their friendship in one of the poorest coutries in the world, or he could move and live elsewhere, but he carries more power than any Afghan Government.

Apparently the British troops have been told to just "help out" as opposed to actually do any fighting.
The US, UK and Pakistan (not quite sure why they're are saying anything..) have all told the Nothern Alliance not to enter the capital, but the rebels have said they'll do it anyway.
I say just leave them to it - perhaps if we'd have done that in the first place Sept 11th wouldn't be engraved on the worlds history books....
