So where am I going?
Well with the game you get the extra disk. Now I havn't played a zelda game since the SNES which was half the reason I got this game. Now I have heard that OOT is one of the finest examples of a game.
So without having to put OOT in the machine and finding another cool game to keep me from studying I ask.
Which do you find better and what are the main differences between OOT and wind waker?

Yes, I have that, but it only really helps a bit.
'If you haven't experienced a Zelda game before, you might just think 'WindWaker' is the best game ever.. for players who have played Ocarina of Time.. Its merely 'brilliant'.
Its a brilliant game.
Now then. I want a remake of Ocarina of Time. :-D

Get the teleport for the 'wind waker' from the evil wind dude.
Whilst Wind Waker is great to play and the new weapon and islands prove to be a breath of freash air, nothing can beat the huge world that is Hyrule. The vast seascapes just aren't the same and you want to explore more, instead of going from island to island systematically.
Plus, there's just something about OoT, the genius that has gone into each puzzle, each secret, each weapon and each boss. Even in Master Quest, the new puzzles are superbly thought-out.
The bosses, as well. Whilst the Wind Waker's bosses look great and on one or two you'll be stumped, OoT was ten times better. Bosses like Vovoldo the Dragon, Bongo Bongo, one of the best bosses ever thought up, and the 'Mimic'. Each one has amazingly designed attack sequences that couldn't be beaten in todays day and age. Whereas in the Wind Waker, simply using your new weapon over and over toppled your foe. There seems no incentive to actually complete dungeons in the Wind Waker because what awaits isn't as atmospheric, genius or, indeed, fun.
Most obviously is the size. Whilst Wind Waker is jam-packed with secrets, you'd most likely be able to find all of them pretty easily, if not a lengthy sequence. But OoT, there's alwasy something else, completing it 100% is bascially impossible to do, each Gold Skultula, each heart piece and little grove littered around Hyrule. Plus the main game is much bigger, it could takes mponths to complete for new-comers and worthy of the title 'Mammoth'.
But while OoT is better, I'm not saying the Wind Waker isn't worth getting, both games are superb, but the sea really demotes from the Zelda experience and at times, trekking across to new islands just becomes a hassle.
Differences? OOT is dungeon-wise bigger, with I think around 11 main dungeons and a few slightly smaller ones. The graphics were more 'realisticly inclined' as best as N64 could do. In OOT, you, erm, age (for those who have not played it I won't go any further with that).
There are more clothes and footwear items, and some extra types of magic.
There are different races of water folk (Zora's), mountain folk (Gorons) and desert folk (Gerudos).
And a different instrument with double the songs.
Thats just a few differences though :D
