I really don't think it was Nintendo, otherwise Goblin Direct would be facing the same dilemma, and they havent even mentioned it.

The only thing that using or buying import Nintendo games does is it voids the warranty - thanks to their little bit of text on the packaging.

I'm disgusted that Nintendo have made Tqgames close down. The reason why there are importers is because Nintendo's STUPID release dates between Countries, until they realise how Cr*p they actually are e.g F-zero July and August for Jap/US and probably November for here they going to keep shutting every Import shop down. I'm emailing Nintendo of Europe now to let them know how bad there actually treating us, and why i keep sticking with them in the first place (I know they make superb games but it's not on). Honestly i think it's the start of something extremly bad, I'm sorry to say this but Nintendo have certainly made a HUGE mistake this time round and another one to the VERY LONG list they already have in my head. (I'm very annoyed at the moment, but i'll get over it by the morning). :)

Rising Sun Digital Media (www.rsdm.co.uk) have had their site down for what must be around 2 weeks now, and I'm still waiting to see what's happened to my order of Winning Eleven 6: Final Evolution.

They say they're trying to implement a new basket system, but you never know, when news like this arises....

I can't really see any point in Nintendo of Europe "cracking-down" on local importers... There are some people out there who will buy a GameCube just to play those 'different' games - like Doshin the Giant, and - of course - Animal Crossing.

And why not just stop the release of the FreeLoader in the first place??

The way I see it, even if Nintendo do name one or two importers hoping that it would give them a bad image, it probably won't work - those most affected by the media probably don't import games from abroad, and those who do import will still get their US and JAP games from their favourite retailers.

The majority of people use eBay anyway. Nintendo can't really stop that, can they?

Who knows. Importing has always been fishy, what, with import taxes etc.
