I'm sticking with my 'I hate rare and all their plans' stance.

True, but Rare have never made a game like this before, and it's a graphical style they havne't used before.
Although News Monkey does make lots of screw ups, like:
"We haven't had a brand new Sonic platform game since Sonic Adventure 2 on the Dreamcast (the GameCube version was pretty much the same thing and Sonic Advance doesn't count"
When clearly, Sonic Advance does count, because it was brand new and a platform game.

It doesn't look like a Rare game though, more like a crappy ubisoft one.
