Basically i think it comes down to the dual analogue sticks (one move one aim, beats cursor keys/ keypad and mouse anyday) and that the aiming seems more realistic, rather than the strange roller ball, juddery, lightning aiming effect of a mouse. oh and shoulder trigger buttons rock!

A console FPS with a well designed controller layout is good, but i find analogue sticks provide little of the accuracy found on the mouse.

Being able to assign rolls, jumps and all the force powers to keys around the movements ones meant you could fight like a real Jedi.
Where as with four buttons on a console pad you can only do a couple of things at once.

Mouse and keyboard. Nothing beats having 32 individually assigned keys then forgetting which one you want in the middle of a firefight and doing the wrong thing. THAT'S realism.
