However, games must be the only form of popular entertainment where no matter what the product, whether a classic title or not which is aging before youve managed to rip the celephane wrapping from the box...
Some games, obviously age better than others...
And the all time classics are still generally aknowledged for thier innovation, playability, and memeroable qualities...
But which of the recent releases will become classics for the future...
Lara Croft has become a household name... Half Life a universally acknowledged classic...
But what of May Payne? Black & White? GTA3? etc...
Are these games short lived hits... or long term classics?
Which games really 'stand the test of time'?
(okay, Civ3 is just about to be released)
