I tried that php script that came with the freeola email, you know, the one about inserting an html file or a document anywhere on a page:
Then I'm saving the file as .php, but when I go to open it from the browser it opens Notepad. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks
Get it at www.xitami.com.

You shouldn't be. You just need to run it and follow the instructions. One it's installed and running, double-click on the lighting icon in your system tray and set it up. I managed this first time with no problems, it's very easy.

You need to install a server and PHP. For beginners I recommend OmniHTTPd (http://www.omnicron.ab.ca/httpd/) which when I last checked came with PHP. However, the last version I got was *extremely* unstable so I got Apache and PHP instead. This is the proper way to do it and running them both under Linux will give a 100% accurate PHP environment. However, for your needs. OmniHTTPd will be fine. However, if you want to run Apache under Windows that's the best option. Give me a shout if you want help with it.
Oh, and include() will include ANY file that contains plain text.

I use this command on my site. The file that this code is in MUST have the extension .php Also I would not be surprised if you can only include another PHP file - I'm not sure because I haven't actually tried it.
