I've just bought the Logic 3 Rechargable unit and power adaptor from Spec Res (£12.99) and I tried it out when it came this morning. Probably my fault for assuming these things, but shouldn't these units come with some sort of instruction leaflet, or an indication of how long you are supposed to leave the things on for to recharge? It hasn't even got any warnings (something I thought was compulsory these days for electrical equipment)
The thing is, the power pack side of things seems really weak. I tried it out (without charging the battery) and it lit up the screen, all fine and dandy, but as soon as I put my Logic 3 Lightshield Advance on, puff, the light changed to red and the screen went blank in a matter of minutes. Now I recharged the unit for around 1 hour and it worked, but my guess is that it's now working off the battery, running it down at the same time. So it looks as if I would have to keep the battery recharged to play off the mains, if indeed this is what it does anyway, rather than just using the battery full stop.
If any staff are reading this, please could you use your expert knowledge of these products you sell to provide an answer. (I know what the sales staff are like, but I'll probably phone them anyway!) If it means returning it and getting a different recharger (the powergrip one sounds like it might be better) then I'm quite happy to do that instead. Please help!

Cheers AS, I'll have a look at the site.
http://www.spectravideo.com/
The sites a little unusual... but there should be all the info you need there...
(even if you do need to e-mail them for it? :)
