Are Nintendo out of their minds?
Who in their right mind is gonna have 3-4 GBA's, a Gamecube, link cables and actually want to play those games?
Even if I had the equipment they'd still be rubbish. I know Nintendo want to push the GBA connectivity into the spot light, but is it really that good a feature in the first place? Having a few extra features on games like Zelda : WW is a nice extra, a bit gimmicky but still good to have. But actually centering a whole game around it is just stupid.
It's a waste of time, no-one is gonna want to buy these things. Innovation is all good but only when it's something that people will actually want to play. It would be forgiveable if these things where slapped on an E-card and sold for £1.50 a time, but the fact that they'll be actually packaged up and sold as proper games is retarded.
I felt almost embarrassed for Miyamoto when he was showing off the Pac Man game to a stunned audience, I got the feeling that no-one gave a crap. He was asking the Pac Man creator to allow him to publish the game for Cube as if this was gonna get some big cheering responce from the crowd.
Xbox has Halo 2 and Doom 3, the main even in Nintendo's show was unveiling Tetra's Trackers and some sh--ty Pac Man game.
Come on Nintendo, you really have gotta try harder.
It would have been nice to have mentioned the new Mario and Zelda though. And they should of announced the new Pilotwings and said it will be shown at Spaceworld.
Nintendo know they're developing it, so we do. Its the people that don't that need to be. It's all about perception.
The reason being that we KNOW they ARE making Mario 128, whether or not they show it off at E3 I don't really care. Same with the next Zelda and Pilotwings.
Spaceworld.
They weren't exactly meant to be the big games you know.
Metroid Prime 2?
GEIST?
F-Zero?
Starfox?
Besides, the idea is you have your mates round and they bring their GBAs.
But yes, PAC-MAN is rubbish and Trackers sounds gay.
I like four swords though.
