Even those of you who do know me are perhaps not likely to agree. Maybe you'll think me childish, perhaps you're more emotionally stable than I, I don't know.
But I've just found an answer to my prayers, in the form of a TV program.
Its on CBBC1 and is called "Angel mouse", its on before Tweenies if that gives you some idea of what age group its intended for.
I'm not sure what it is about the program that makes my core so very relaxed, but i noticed as i watched that, my petty social worries and the overhanging threat of war worries and well pretty much evreything else just seemed to melt away.
Its just pleasant, everyone in the show is helpful and polite. Yes it has religious overtones, but its so very careful not to be at all "in your face" (in your 3 year old face, you understand). God is not specificaly referred to at all. He 's known as "You know who". Angel mouse is forever losing his "thinga-me-jig" (or halo) and has to assist people to get it back. There's no threat of eternal damnation if he doesn't get it back, in fact the only thing driving him to help people to get his "thinga me jig" back is his own determination to be an angel.
Its a, not even subtle, metaphore for how we should be living. Hopefully it will infect the 3 year olds that are currently being brought up on it and the world will be a better place in the future. More shows need to put out this message.
Perhaps you think I've taken it too seriously, thats your opinion, you're entitled to it, its your right.
But for those of you who are still questioning my sanity and as such have not yet written me off, watch Angelmouse. See if it makes you happy as it did me.
Why does that connection not surprise me?
:)

Nah, j/k mate. You watch what you want. I watch Monarch of the Glen and I think it's great. Comfort viewing.
But, I'll disagree for the point of it. Have to keep up the nemesis thing.
