These programs use the internet to let people to download mp3s of the net for free. Napster has been sued out of existence,so is it right to get 'free' music?

If I like an album, I buy it. Usually only new music.

However, if there are just songs from ages ago that will take me ages to find in a shop and would only be accompanied by loads of songs I didn't like anyway, then I'll download it. Usually movie soundtracks, or anything cool I remember.

I'm all for downloading music. I still buy as music as I always have, perhaps even more too, so I feel ok about it.

Napster and other things like it don't damage any band or record company.
If it wasn't for Napster I wouldn't have bought several albums a while ago. What ever music your into it sells CD's.

well i have about fifty, i'm not condemning it just what people think about it.

I agree with Mistique - it's like recoding stuff off the TV to keep. Your not supposed to do it, but every now and again you decide you'll keep the tape of, for example, the England Germany game.

I still buy albums, but I try out all sorts of stuff first on MP3. Some of it is mixes you simply can't buy, some hasn't been released yet and then sometimes someone will send me a track from a band I've never heard of. I'll decide I need to look further and may end up getting an album.

dont get me wrong i do buy the odd album but if i just want the one tune i'll download it
i bet you have at least one mp3 on your pc dont you!!
