Although the topic heading may indicate i have committed a unforgiveable crime and wish to be absolved me only wrong is that i can no longer sit for hours on end battling a formidable enemy(it's not my concentration span...honest).
Yes, i was an RPG fan, to be honest a fan of all genres. When people spoke of RPG's as a Japanese only interest i looked away, how could people be so insensitive. I battled a many of games often pushing the word 'unsociable' to the limit. You know what i mean...its natural. So the question i am asking why can i no longer play games any more, the only games i can seem to withstand are the arcade, quickies. From Final Fantasy to Vagrant Story to Grandia i now see myself rather having a quick bash at Tony Hawks, Mario Kart or the impressive ISS 2. Not that these games are bad, far from it, it seems the format is evolving faste than any one could predict at gamers are changing. I only managed 15 hours of FF9, and a meagre 4 of Code Veronica. The way is being paved for the young gamera new breed of gamers...the next generation.
So even i buy a Gamecube or X-Box (which is inevitable) i eagerly await the next installment of ISS or Tony Hawks.
Rock on 2002.
Also a quick shout to all Nintendo fans...say young my friends. From a battle scarred veteran.
As Johnathan Ross says 'I want a game man...not a game 'boy''.
