For their recent moeny maker, the September 11th Attacks, CNN have chose the glabal event title of, 'American Strikes Back...
Doesnt American Strikes Back, sound a little to much like Empire Strikes Back?
Which would make America the evil all powerful Empire...
And the Taliban the good, freedom fighting, Rebals...
then again, maybe not.

Americas true movtives were to install the Empire into a controlling position of the United States?
President Darth Vader?!
If bush hadn't done anything, found someone to bomb, he'd never have been re-elected. I think it's in the psyche of most americans (especially the ones who voted for bush ; ) ) to need to retaliate, in the same way they can kill trespassers in their homes and demand the death penalty for murderers.
As it goes, i'm pretty certain the taliban is responsible, but the ease with which 'strong suspicions' of their responsibility drifted into 'knowing without doubt', with no evdience offered to the public, and how readily this was accepted, concerns me. I've said it before (though maybe not here) and i'll probably say it again, we've learned nothing from mccarthyism.
