In my opinion the next few years are going to provide the best console war ever seen.
Think about it,the battle between the snes v megadrive produced the best games ever seen.
Nintendo came out with Zelda,Mario,Metroid,Donkey Kong Country,StarFox while the Megadrive had Sonic,Shinobi,Golden Axe,Virtua Racing this list go's on and on and for me this battle gave me the best gaming days in my life.
Then things changed as the Playstation v Saturn started as it quickly became apparent that the Saturn just wasn't up to the job and with no "proper" sonic game SEGA were quickly finished and by the time the N64 came out the Playstation had to big a lead for Nintendo to catch up and so this battle was pretty one sided.
But now with the PS2 already out, and the Gamecube and XBOX both to be released over in the UK next year things have never looked so good.
All these companys will be striving to get the best games on there console,Sony have already bought some of Squaresoft ensuring that the PS2 keeps Final Fantasy,Nintendo have signed the exclusive RESIDENT EVIL deal ensuring that one of the most popular franchises is exlusive to there console for the forseeable future and then Microsoft have exclusive rights to the ODDWORLD franchise.
So this battle looks like its going to be of epic proportions and will bring about some of the greatest games ever seen and i for one can't wait.
