So much to choose and pick from that the gamer of to day is spoilt for chose.
Everyone has his or her favorites from sonic to max Payne.
But what if there was no choose.
What if there was just one company that controlled the entire gaming world and if you wanted to play a computer game it would have to be on their system for the simple fact that there are no othersÖ
Kings for the day are Nintendo ñ CDs? Compact disks? For a game console? You must be mad!
Thatís what everyone would say, and theyíd be right too. You see, if Nintendo had the monopoly of the gaming industry, do you really think that they would have CDís to store games on instead of their very own lovable cartridges? I mean CDs can be copied and sold by kids in the classroom were as if you had cartridges, no copying, means more profit. (And being the only company you can set you prices as high as you like!)
Also there would be none of this final fantasy stuff, oh no. Were as now you have the mighty wars of who is best, squall or Mario, it would be a completely different scenario by far. More like who is better conker or banjo. It would be a nation of Zelda lovers with link as the man (or should I say elf) of the hour.
Perhaps a greater verity of games and amount would be made in the ruling name of Nintendo. Letís face it, it isnít as if they have a good selection at the moment. As I look through my special reserve discount magazine I can see around 40 N64 games, 5 of which are pokemon and 3 Mario.
But on the Sony pages itís a whole different basket of fruit. Over 270 ps1 games alone (which is one of the 2 Sony console on the market)
Iím sure youíd have loads more command and conquer, tomb raider and metal gear solid type games in Nintendoís great cabinet.
But whatís this I hear you cry?
Other small companies would pop up and start churning out new flashy games.
Well yes but with Nintendoís power at this point being so high they would just simply buy out the smaller ones out adding more to their great empire.
Wait I almost forgot. With being the only company, Microsoft would not be around. Therefor Nintendo (using the workers who would of worked for bill gates and probably the man himself) would make their own personalized version of the PC, windows and Internet explorer.
So really they would be the most powerful being on the planet.
I beg to think what would happen then, because with all this money Nintendo would also buy out mostly all the other companies and businesses of different things in the world making the chairman of Nintendo basically the empire of the entire planet earth!!!
I think I have gone a bit off the mark there.
Well what I am trying to say is that there needs to be competition.
Itís not right that one body should be in complete control.
What it really boils down to is the old saying: absolute power corrupts absolutely.

is it a song?

gettin' down just for the funk of it.
One
> nation under a game
nothin' can stop us now.
(can I get it on my good foot?
> Good God.)
