Not the profit ratios and all this other rubbish. Yes, it matters in a way, as this money can be used to fund new products and the like, but just now, a company of Nintendo's stature probably aren't affected much at all.
And "The demise of the GameCube"? No, I really don't think so.
Do we see Xbox sales figures? I'm sure GameCube is about the same, having done better in Japan (apparently).
If the worst comes to the worst there are still at least 10 games that I own that I haven't played through yet because I haven't had the time. From what I have played of these games they are fantastic, so I'm not complaining. I bought the X-Box for one game, and I can't find another I like. I'm certainly happy to have bought my Gamecube for 10 fabtastic games.
And something about microsoft losing money each time they sell a X-box?
