Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the Special Reserve arena! Where tonight we will be seeing an important match in the quarter-final stages of the King Of The Ring Tournament!
Rikishiís (Ice Blaster) music hits, as the Phat Man, walks out on to the stage to a huge ovation from the whole forum which is in attendance for this one. Rikishi makes his way down to the ring, removes his robe and grabs the mic from ring announcer Tony Chimmel. ìHey, Rob Van DamÖwho do you think you are, coming into this federation and entering the king of the ring tournament? Do you think you even deserve to be the king? You havenít earned the right to do anything around here.î
With that, RVD (Seifer) comes out to the stage with mic in handÖîHey big guy, no need to be so tenseÖIím Rob Van Dam and I realise I havenít been around here long, but my record in ECW speaks for itself.î
Rikishi replies ìIím glad you think so RVD, cos Iíve just come from the commisionerís office and heís agreed to this match being competed under ECW rules!î
ìCoolî says RVD before making his way down to the ring.
The combatants lock up immediately and RVD uses his quickness to go behindÖwaist-lockÖRikishi counters with an elbow, they both go to the ropes, Rikishi goes for a clothesline but RVD has already rolled out of the wayÖstand off. The crowd politely cheers the opening exchange, as these two wrestlers begin to feel each other out.
They tie up againÖthis time itís Rikishi with the go-behind, RVD tryis the elbow but Rikishi ducks and pushes RVD, into the ropesÖRVD with the leapfrog over Rikishi, Rikishi now bounces off the ropes on the other sideÖRVD with the split, but Rikishi has stopped and he goes for the leg dropÖbut RVD is out of the way and he hits a dropkick to Rikishiís face. RVD bounces of the ropes again, before rolling into the Rolling Thunder! He hit that sweetly. Rikishiís going for a time-out thoughÖheís rolled under the ropes.
Rikishi stands up on the outside, trying to catch his breath, but he isnít safe out there as RVD leaps over the ropes with a jumping senton splash! Rikishi is down on the outside. RVD isnít finished though, he jumps on to the protective barrier and as Rikishi gets to his feet hits him with a moonsault press! Itís all RVD in the early going here. RVD climbs the ring steps and perches waiting on RikishiÖthe phat man gets to his feet and gets clobbered again by a leaping sidekick from the apron by Rob Van DamÖRikishi staggers backwards and ends up slumped over the protective wallÖRVD goes back to the apron and hits a leg drop onto Rikishi who was still on the barrierÖouch!!!
The referee looks concerned, but cannot lay any sort of count due to the ECW rules! RVD throws Rikishi back into the ring though, before whipping him into the turnbuckleÖRikishi reverses though and RVD is sent to the cornerÖRikishi follows in, but RVD leaps to the top and catches the big man with a reverse side kick. He caught that well and Rikishi isnít movingÖRVD goes back to the top ropeÖsplit-legged moonsault! 1Ö2Ö.Kick out! That was close!!!
RVD is disputing the call with the ref! He canít believe that didnít get the job done! He turns to face Rikishi and gets caught with a superkick! Rikishi is dragging RVD into the corner. But waitÖwhats this? Itís the Big Show(Longy)Öwhat business has he got out here? The show has gone for RikishiÖCHOKESLAM!!! Whatís this all about??? Here come Rikishiís running buddies though, Too Cool! (Ant and Wildlight). They drag Big Show out of the ring and a scuffle ensues on the outsideÖ
