I read somewhere that TVs that have a refresh rate of 100Hz tend not to display DVD movies with the same quality as you'd expect with the usual 50Hz TVs. Has anyone had any experience which actually confirms or refutes this claim? Thanks in advance.
100hz tellies are fantastic, especially with DVDs such as the Matrix. You also need quite a decent DVD player. However, if the TV is recieving a 50/60hz signal, it just displays normally. Any bloke at Curries or Dixons will explain it properly, then try and sell you something. Just ignore that part ;-)
However for DVD they'll be great - better than a 50Hz anyway. Won't work for light gun games, though I doubt that's a issue.
