No, the graphics are not photo-realistic. And since when did the cars look better than the real things? Sure, this is subjective, but you must be pretty stupid to think that a pixellated render of a car looks better than "the real thing".

...and your point? Its a DISSCOUNT NETWORK the news is just an extra to promote games so that they make a profit, hence the reason SR never gives a bad review because it isnt a magazine, the sales of games DOES effect the profit of SR.
