Ok, i rarely ask for help in a game but this is drivin gme NUTS!
The keypad is like this

The clue i get is this
Press, move 2 right;
press, move 1 up;
press, move 2 down;
press, the door shall open
*Theres also a note that says that '...I told him 4 numbers were enough but he just kept on going' not sure of its relelvence though*
Any ideas?

Duh.
Press a number, e.g 4, then move 2 right (to 6) press that, move up 1 (to 9) press that, move down 2 (to 3) press that, door opens.
Just follow instuctions.
4, 6, 9, 3

Its ok i figured it out. And it wouldnt have been any help, its Silent Hill 3 so i doubt theres andy cheats etc, not that i want any. Thanks though.
