"Vicecity- freezing up"

I've moved high up in the game vicecity,but when i save my games now when I go back it says that the loading was sucsessful,but it just freezes up and won't let it start. How can I stop this and get back into my game?
Sony said that it was because I use weapons cheat codes. Is this true? and how do I fix it?

Me too I use cheats but sometimes it gets stuck not all people it happens to. I guess you wewre very unlucky mate to get your game stuck sorry.

unlucky, i did the cheat and didnt have any problems so i have no idea whats wrong with it, maybe dodgy save game?
