i am trying to play star wars on my new computer , tried the cheats but it says server does not allow cheats please help

The whole point of cheats is to make the game easier, but looking at the amount of people on here that need help to get the cheats working, it's a little ironic.
Don't cheat
JK II runs off the QuakeIII engine and acts as if it's an online server in SP mode. If the right server variable hasn't been altered to allow cheat codes to be allowed, you'd get that message even in a singleplayer game.
It does that in Starcraft as well- when you try to cheat you have to use the comand to talk- and when my brother tried that, he was mocked muchly.
It says that because the server you are playing the multiplayer on does not allow the players to use cheats - cheats in on-line games suck as they make it unfair.
I'm assuming you mean Jedi Knight II, since that's the only star wars game where it would give that response in singleplayer?
