To answer the original question...in what way is The Wind Waker bad? Just because it's different doesn't mean it's bad. Personally, the sheer amount of things Link can do is nothing short of startling. And it's a great game.
I just don't understand people's negative attitudes to Nintendo...they should sit down with Metroid Prime or Zelda then they'd know what great games are all about.
