It's absoloutly nothing like that.
There's free roaming city's and things in the DM. You can get in a plane and fly around shooting your mates on the ground, or jump in a gun turret, or take to foot and shoot people with ya blaster thingy or pilot a tank.
It should be damn good fun.
The main game though has not been revealed, expect Lylatwars with more dogfights and a few ground missions.

Yep looks pretty good but still quite early days..
I have conker. Have had the n64 for game for about 2/3 years now.
